Back where i belong!!! In a concrete jungle with real civilisation.. well, for the next 4 or 5 days anyway.

Another decent week at work under the belt.. plenty of hours and really nice warm weather apart from a massive downpour on Monday which soaked us. The bottom of my back has been sore with all the repetitive strain I'm putting it under.. nothing I can do about it though other than grin and bare it.

Took the 3 hour bus journey from Stanthorpe to Brisbane this morning at 7am. So so happy to be back in the city with the rest of the real world. Felt good walking out of the Transit Centre into the city streets again being swamped by high rise concrete buildings and an endless stream of people.. and it has been a banging hot day too with not a cloud in the sky! :)

Checked into the hostel that I had pre-booked and then headed over the river to the Modern Art Museum on recommendation from someone i met whilst travelling. Not usually my bag but thought I would give it a try. Wandered around for about half an hour trying to look interested and act like I knew a thing or two but who was I trying to kid?! There was a few quirky things that caught my eye but think I'm better off just sticking to sport.. haha

Had a Nando's for lunch which I'd been massively craving since i was last here four weeks ago. Then I went to watch 'Limitless' at the cinema.. on my own, which I have never done before!! But I was happy as Larry sat there with a 1kg bag of sweets in my lap which I had bought earlier from Woolworths. The film was pretty good and I left with the familiar sickly feeling after eating too many again.. I didn't eat them all though!!

Just a chilled one tonight ready for the flight down to Melbourne tomorrow morning. Maybe have a cheeky beer on the way back to the hostel after I have published this blog ;)
