We've arrived in Memphis Tennessee and our Graceland tickets are booked for tomorrow. After watching my favourite Elvis film "Speedway" on the hotel TV we headed downtown to The Peabody to see the famous duck red carpet procession. What a lovely site, they all waddle down the red carpet into the lift where they are taken to their own room in the hotel (only in America!)
Beale Street was a slight disappointment just full of bars and seedy dives and as for the rest of Memphis, what a dump!
Back at the hotel, which has three dedicated Elvis channels and Elvis music playing 24/7 in all the public places, we are now relaxing for the evening before the big Graceland tour tomorrow xx
