Leaving our cabin behind we followed the Extra Terrestrial Highway to Rachel where we had a drink at the Little A'Le'Inn. We didn't see any unusual activity apart from a lot of people stopping at the roadside - they were Geocaching - rather them than us with the extreme wildlife out here!
Heading south we finally arrived in Vegas. Imogen was suitably impressed with our hotel room.
We made the decision to walk to the Las Vegas sign (photo opportunity) instead of taking the shuttle. Not the best idea we've ever had as, not even halfway, both Imogen and I were suffering from heat exhaustion. Luckily, Nick loves the heat and was able to egg us on and we made it into the nice air-conditioning of a hotel to cool of.
We walked the strip, hopping in and out of the cooling shops before catching the shuttle back to the hotel - enough walking for today!
