We've hit the 4,000 miles mark and been in three different states today.
We left Kingman, Arizona this morning and followed the Mother Road over Sitgreaves Pass (the highest and bendiest point) through Cool Springs, Oatman and Needles, California.
Unfortunately we didn't see any burros in Oatman but we didn't have any carrots to feed them anyway!
We then left 66 and headed north into Nevada where we caught our first glimpse of Vegas (although only bypassing it today).
Arriving in Alamo we were very disappointed with our booking. The website had been very misleading and although the cabins as beautiful, there have been a lot of changes since the booking was made. We've decided to cancel tomorrow night and head to Vegas for an extra night, but for the time being we're sitting enjoying a 5 litre box of red in the wonderful sunshine and with a spa bath to enjoy later, we'll be OK!!!
