Day 65 - Sunday 28th May - Up at 5.30 again for early breakfast, so we can watch the sunrise and then go for my 3rd dive on the reef. I was really lucky that John the instructor took we out on my own and we went down to 11m for a tour of the corals, the currents were quite strong and it was so cool to float with them as it felt like you were flying amongst the fish and huge coral overhangs. The trick is to remain calm, which is difficult as it's strange breathing though the tanks and also mildly alarming when you mask starts filling up with water, but you just slow your breathing and follow your training.
We watched a rain storm pass over head as we slowly rotated as we swam along the sea bed. Saw an enormous clam, and some huge fish swimming under our boat. It was so wonderful to be there :o))))))))))) Sailed back towards Airlie beach stopping for lunch on one of the Islands. The weather was changing so a good time to be coming back to the mariner and is bucketing it down, as it gets dark, so a great time to update the website. The Whitsundays and diving on the Great Barrier Reef has defintely been the highlight of my trip to Oz...Wow, Wow......Wow
:o))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
