Graeme round the world
Day 57 Sat May 20th Up at 6.30am and said goodbye to the guys we met at Sydney, for bus ride inland to Nimbin, a picturesque alternative village with a colourful 'hippy' past, stop for a coffee and cake :o) Visit to the hippy museum and candle factory. Cross over the 'border' from New South Wales into Queensland. Back to the coast for lunch at Surfer's Paradise with the famous 40km stretch of golden beach known as the Gold Coast. Best of all was detour so we could do zorbing............basically rolling down a hill in a big plastic ball with two other people and 60 litres of water and then as an addition you can lie on the ground whilst it rolls over you. Had two goes and it was great fun, just arrived in Brisbane and said goodbye to Louise, Alexis and Gemma, who have been so lovely. Checked into the hostel and shortly off to dinner at the bar below with Guido and the gang :o) ps One of the guys I met saw a Great White Shark swim towards him on his surf board and dive at the surf camp!!!!! pps Forgot to mention saw my first snake whilst mountian biking.............but only a small one :o)
