We are house sitting for some friends in Grange-over-sands this week and it's so exciting for the kids. The friends have five chickens and 2 guinea pigs, both of which have been an endless source of amusement.
Between chasing chickens and stroking guinea pigs, we've also managed to visit friends in Lancaster and Sedbergh so far.
The Hubbard's have moved to a new house in Howgill and we got to spend a lovely day with them and meet their newest daughter Martha.
Unbelievably Matt managed to beat me at scrabble on monday, but before his pride could swell too much he managed to get lost on a run!
This morning is day three of our trip (I don't count Saturday as most of it was spent in the car) and we've explored grange - the highlight of which was getting to play with a cockapoo puppy in a gun shop (Will loved the guns, Lila loved the puppy).
Now Matt has headed up to Edinburgh to see his grandmother whilst the children and I sunbathe with the chickens in the back yard. Considering the weather forecast for this week, we've done really well so far!!
