The second day of my Cape Tribulation tour we went on a river cruise down the Daintree river it was fantastic and we saw 4 crocs wahoo. We also spotted a small Kingfisher which I managed to get a photo of. Aparantly they are really rare so even to see one is impressive. After the cruise we headed Port Douglas which is the rich hot spot and also where Fools Gold was filmed. If only Matthew McConaughey had been there too yum yum hehe. Our tour guide showed us a round for a while and then we went to Rex Lookout to see the sunset. It was beautiful and the colours in the sky were stunning. From here you could see a little island where it costs $35,000 a weekend to stay on there. You get your own staff crew and basically have anything you might want or need. Tom Cruise has stayed there a few times with both Nicole and Katie hehe. When we got back I went for dinner with Claire, Fi and Katie... girls who are staying here and working. Fiona lives in Ashtead so it was nice to talk about people/places at home and have a laugh about some of them. We all stayed up chatting for a while and then got an early night to prepare for Saturday night madness hehe.
