At Buncrana I treated myself to a manicure with glittery nail polish and a delicious lunch at Oscar's. Also I had my hair chopped at a barber shop which was rough but still an improvement on the expensive hairdresser at home.
Then headed for one of the highlights of this trip. After all we have all heard 'Malin Head' on the shipping forecast.
It was atmospheric as it was blowing a gale and I struggled to walk along a path from the signal station at Banba's Crown to the deep chasm called Hell's Hole. Loved it.
Must mention that previously I turned into a marked sign post to Five Finger Strand. I have have just read that it is home to some of Europe's largest sand dunes. I drove down this narrow track which was blocked off at the end with large boulders and high sand walls either side -no space to turn. I managed eventually but it was difficult and very annoying.
I drove slowly and reluctantly knowing that I was nearing the end of The Wild Atlantic Way.
That night I slept in Moville, where I read, was one of the best sociable pubs in Ireland but I stayed in the can, I mean van.
