Rotorua

We left Maketu really early after all having breakfast together and headed to Rotorua. It was quite sad really because some of us were staying behind longer and so the bus would be moving on without us. Some of the group stopped in Rotorua to do white water rafting which apparently was amazing, but saving my money for the south Island and doing tings I haven't already done, I decided to check out the thermal pools. Me and Kay walked around the city and found all the smoking pools which made the entire town smell of rotten eggs due to the sulphur, before heading to a spa. We spent the day looking out over the lake in pools heated to over 40degrees by the thermal ativity below, it was so nice! The pools were also said to be really good for your skin with all the minerals in there.

After being lazy, the rest of the group headed off and me Naomi, Tom and Los staye behind and wee going to spend a coupe of days in Rotorua. The hostel was really nice which was good as the weather was pretty awful while we were there. We literally shopped, chilled out watching films and cooed loads of really nice food altogether and that is pretty much it! It was really nice to not have to get up and catch the bus and pack for a few days!

One night we went out drinkng and played pool for hours in ths really cool bar which was like an old saloon bar with a huge log fire and the cheesiest music imaginable! It was a really nice coupe of days!
