Today we ventured into the city for La Fiesta de Las Candelas.It's a festival in honor of the Blessed Virgin.There was a parade earlier this afternoon, where children dressed in traditional garments leading up to the church where a ceremony was performed.The festival lasts only the 1st and 2nd of February and consists of traditional music and dance.Street vendors line the streets selling breads, sweets, jewelry and other items.

After leaving the festival, we made it home just in time for lunch at 2:30pm.On occasion, while we eat, we might have the news on; all in Spanish of course.Today as we ate though, a very familiar song came on, and we noticed it was the opening song for Family Guy.Kathryn and I shared a good laugh as the song that was in English quickly transitioned into Spanish dialogue once the show started.
