Frankfurt, Germany Airport

GERMANY: 6:45am (Thursday, January 22, 2009)

Here I sit, patiently waiting for round two of flights. I said the last of my goodbyes before my flight left Chicago at 2:33pm. That would also be the time at which my cell phone experienced its final moments until May 18th. The flight from Chicago to Frankfurt wasn't that bad. A little lengthy, but I watched a few inflight movies and attempted to take a few naps; each one being a failure due to the pleasant older gentleman behind me who found it ever-so necessary to kick my chair throughout the flight. At least someone was comfortable. :)

I left the familiy a message on Skype, but I imagine they won't see it yet. I was actually surprised I was able to get internet access here. The airport here was a little challenging, but I managed just fine. Well, seven minutes until boarding.

The weather is rather foggy with a current temperature of 30 degrees, or at least it was when we landed. Even in the darkness of early morning, I feel like this is going to be wonderful. The city lights upon landing just looked so neat. I can't wait to get to Spain and experience things up close and personal!
