Fri 5th - we checked out of hostel at 12 and walked down to the ferry port (in the roasting heat it wasnt such a good idea), we got the ferry accross to Butterworth where the bus station was - we ofund the bus station but not our terminal - we evetually realised we were at the wrong station and on finding the right one we were told bus would be leaving at 2.30 - so we sat and read our books for a wee while. the bus tickets we had bought were not only VIP but V.VI...

Tues 2nd - So bus was picking us up in Krabi town at 7am - it didnt turn up until half past but thats nothing unusual! The journey was all fine (except i lost my wallet temporarily - left it on one of the buses and luckily the bus driver found it and came back to give it to me - we managed to cross the border fine and didnt have to pay anything. We hadnt booked any accomodation in Penang and we didnt know much about it as we had had difficulty finding a second ha...

Wed 26th - we left Phi Phi today and headed to Krabi - just a short boat ride away (1.5 hours) - the sea was calm so it was a pleasent journey. When we arrived in Krbai town, a lot of the guest houses were full - we eventually found one and it was nice and cheap - Gill and i had one room and Katie and her friend Sarah who joined us later in the day had the room next door. Not much to do in Krabi town at all - so we pottered around (in the rain) waiting for Sarah ...

Sat 22nd - we arrived on island just after 10.30 - the island was soooo cute - there are no cars or motorbikes allowed on island so its all very laid back - all the little streets are cobbled and its just heaven - we were just praying that the wether improved as we are definately in need of some more beach action. The island in general is quite expensive - it was hit real bad by the tsunami and therefore most of the bungalows etc are new - qwe went from bungalow ...

So we left Lucky Mother Bungalows just after 8am - we got the bus to feryy and and then a bus after the ferry to a small travel agent in town. Here they said we had to pay an extra 200Baht to get to the resort we wanted to goto whereas when we bought the tickets we were told this would get us where we wanted to go. If we paid the money the bus woud leave now, if we didnt we would have to wait another hour - in the travel agent there was a couple heading to bangk...
