Cooler this morning , so walked into town and found our bearings quite quickly. Visited the gardens and took the 11 am museum tour. Had lunch after in the tea rooms and walked back to site to take an early shower.

Arrived very , very hot today will explore more tomorrow.

Indian garden at Hamilton

Adventure this morning finding our way around Hamilton on our way to an optician, to try and get David's specs mended. Parked on the side of the road after carefully following directions given by lady at the campsite. With lots of luck found spec savers who fixed it in a jiffy. No time to shop (sadly) off we went to the Hamilton gardens. Stunning!! Can you spot Romeo?

Leaving the caves heading for Hamilton, we turned right. What a mistaka to maka! Ended up on the east coast at Marokopa. Complete dead end. By this time we were tired, hot and running out of diesel. Got out the maps and headed back through the hills which was very beautiful . Crossing my fingers and hanging on for dear life we finally found a petrol station at Kawhia stopped to fill up and get some food. Then at seven asked how long to Hamilton. Arrived At camp s...
