Leaving the caves heading for Hamilton, we turned right. What a mistaka to maka! Ended up on the east coast at Marokopa. Complete dead end. By this time we were tired, hot and running out of diesel. Got out the maps and headed back through the hills which was very beautiful . Crossing my fingers and hanging on for dear life we finally found a petrol station at Kawhia stopped to fill up and get some food. Then at seven asked how long to Hamilton. Arrived At camp site around eight thirty , what an adventure.
