Hello everyone,

We are now in Arrowtown. We did stop at Queenstown but we thought what are we doing here, it's just another city and so we went just 20km north to Arrowtown. It is one of our favorite places in the world. It's so beautiful everywhere and we so want to live here now! We've spent a while looking around the small town and going into all the pretty little shops. Again it's very much like Ambleside in the Lake District, UK. Another favorite town or ours. We went to the Arrowtown Museum and it was very good. It's one of the top museums in NZ and you can see why. It's just like stepping back a 100 years and you lose yourself completely in it. The town is famous for its gold here. But no, there's none left now but you can try your luck in the river. We went to the old Chinese Settlement where Chinese men came here to gold mine until it ran out in 1920 when they left. We have done a Wine Cave tour and tried a few wines. We have bought a couple of very nice wines which we'll enjoy when we're back home. We have spent a few days here as its so nice. It's right in the middle of a valley which was formed by a glacier many years ago. We really want to come back here again and you can easily spend a week here to completely unwind.
