On our final day in Mexico we went snorkelling along the reefs in Cozumel by boat. This was absolutely awesome as a lot of the reefs were really shallow and we didn't have to dive far down, or at all, to see a variety of different fish. Woke early to pack and enjoy breakfast before our 9am tour bus pick up. The travel agent that arranged the NYC portion of our trip organised this tour for me cause I didn't want to stress about our luggage etc getting from Merida to Playa del Carmen. We spent our final day in Mexico City trying to find a museum, we found many but they were all closed and guarded by literally hundreds of riot police. There were also army trucks driving around. We questioned what they were expecting? We later found out from our concierge that it was Teachers Day, so there were many families in the city because kids were off school.
