After breakfast I was feeling really dehydrated and the sparkling water wasn't cutting it, so I went out on my own to search for bottled water. Walked for ages before finding any, found about 10 places selling rum and other liquor before I found a water stall. The water is also about triple the price of rum. It was an interesting experience walking on my own without Sam. Got called beautiful lady heaps and other men made kissing sounds at me. Got back to the apartment feeling a bit like a piece of meat but also with a slightly inflated ego lol. Got a bus from parque central to Playa del Este late morning which is a beautiful beach about half an hour from the city. Found a spot under a palm tree in the shade and spent the day laying on the sand and swimming in the crystal clear water. It was so nice to relax and get out of the city for the day. Enjoyed it so much I think we might go back tomorrow. Skipped dinner and straight to desert, it's so hot all I want is ice cream.
