Getting lost while exploring
Took our left over breakfast (Amaya cooks enough to feed 4 people) in containers to eat at the beach. Getting there was super easy cause we knew what we were doing from yesterday. I'm getting really blunt with my "no, gracious" cause I have to say it about one hundred times a day to taxi drivers and people trying to sell us stuff. Day two at the beach was lovely as it was an even hotter day. There was a really large police presence on the beach warning tourists to keep an eye on their possessions. Something obviously went down the previous day. Meant we had to take turns in the water and not leave our stuff unattended. In the evening we went in search of the gin bar Nicole recommended on O'Reilly street and it didn't disappoint. We got the final table available without a reservation, which was on the balcony in a prime people watching location. I wish I had taken my phone to take a photo of my cocktail, it was so impressive. As we were waiting for the bill it started raining. So the streets were nice and quiet when we walked to the Piano Bar which is an Indian bar/restaurant which a live band. We had more ice cream and rum based cocktails. The waiter gave me a beautiful flower with the bill. When we got home we smoked a cigar on our balcony before bed to top of our final night in Cuba. Have enjoyed being disconnected without Tv or wifi for the past week. But am pretty excited to fly to NYC tomorrow and not have to say "no, gracias" anymore.
