Getting lost while exploring
Had a pretty **** sleep as I felt like a hot water bottle because of my sunburn. Turned the air con down low in the middle of the night which helped, but Sam was then freezing. Also had a bit of a sore head from all the rums and lack of water. Another amazing breakfast prepared by Amaya, highly recommend her casa which is called Casa Nova. She even offered to do some washing for us, which was awesome cause Sam only brought five teeshirts. Went out in search for cigar factory tickets, large water bottles and sunblock. Sorted the tickets at Hotel Raquel and they also had sunblock.....but it was equivalent to about $50NZD. So kept looking. Found a state owned store selling questionable looking sunblock with 30 fps, which I assume is spf for $10NZD and water for .70cuc each. It wasn't until we get it home and opened it that we realised it was sparkling water. How have I not mentioned Sam's bible by now? There is a Havava guide book in the apartment that is REALLY simple to read, that he has been attached to and refers to as the bible. About 5-10 times a day while we are out and about he says "well the bible said.....". In the afternoon we visited the Museo de la Revolucion which is in a beautiful old building and mainly about the revolution and Fidel Castro. It was pretty massive with lots of rooms filled with pictures, items of clothing etc and info which was in Spanish and English. On our way back towards the apartment it started to bucket down with rain out of no where, which lasted about 15 minutes and flooded the streets with puddles. Chilled in our apartment for a while playing *******. I am the reigning champion, unsurprisingly. Ventured out for dinner and all I wanted so desert. So while Sam ordered a pasta, I ordered two deserts cause I couldn't decide between flan and ice cream.
