We came to Railay on a tip from a girl we met on a boat to Koh Lanta. She said that it was really peaceful, compared to Koh Phi Phi. It was a lovely bay, with tall limestone cliffs on either side & you can walk through to another beach on the opposite side. We went on a sunset snorkelling trip, the visability was a bit rubbish but the best thing about it was a night swim. In the water there is something called Phospherous (probably spelt that wrong!) but when you move it lights up like sparks, it was really amazing. Apparently there is a scene with them in in The Beach. From Railay we took a boat & bus to Malaysia. To get to the boat you had to walk out through the sea with all of your rucksacks & luggage to get on the boat as it's so rocky the boat can't come in far. So it means that you are trying to walk & balance on rocks with water up to your knees with heavy bags on, it was quite funny!
