Now we are in Koh Phi Phi. We don't think it is the paradise island it's made out to be! It is nice, its a small island with no cars or motorbikes (we've since 2!) so we had to lug our bags to the otherside of the island to our hotel. The whole place is just restaurants, shops & bars. There's nothing else here apart from things for tourists & the only Thais here are the ones that work here. This side of Thailand was hit by the Tsunami & everything has been reconstructed now, apparently they were going to cut down on the tourist stuff but it doesn't seem like they have. The beach is a pretty cove but the water just comes up to your ankles & the tide goes out in the afternoon. We bought some snorkels but there is nothing to see there really. We have been chilling out, reading books & watching films as we have a tv in our room now (yey!). We might do some shopping this evening & tomorrow we head to Koh Lanta. Hoping there will be a bit more culture there.
