We had some bad news in Luang Prabang. We wanted to go to a place called Gibbon X, which is in Laos but on the border with Thailand. It's based in a forest & you live in treehouses for 2 days & zip wire across the jungle to the next treehouse & live amongst the trees with the monkeys! It sounded really cool but we tried to book up too late & it was fully booked so we are going into Thailand a couple of days early now. We got up at 6am this morning to get a bus to the border but when we got to the bus station the guy told us it doesn't go til 5.30pm! So we have been bumming around all day, killing time.

Two days running we have been to visit different waterfalls. The first has a bear sanctuary there and a rescued tiger. They have wild tigers & bears roaming in the forest here & the animals at the sanctuary were rescued from poachers. The waterfall there is really tall & we climbed to the top, which was knackering, you could go for a swim but we forgot our swim stuff! The second waterfall had elephants there! We went for a ride through the water & then fed them bananas afterwards. We had our swimming stuff with us today but didn't fancy the swim as one of the elephants had pooed in the water!
