2nd Nov 07 - We missed out the early morning Emporer City Tour & had a lie in until 10am. It was a sunny day so we went to sit on the deck in the sunshine. We weren't out there very long tho as the worlds biggest bee landed on me. I looked down & thought it was a teddy bear! When I realised what it was I stood up & was screaming at Charlie & some chinese guys to get it off of me, Charlie tried blowing on it but that didn't work so he ran away & some chines guy ended up getting it off! So we went back to our room to hang out with the cockroaches & spiders instead! At 1pm we got off our boat & were transferred to a smaller boat to sail around the lesser 3 gorges. On the deck I looked to the water & thought I saw a duck, then I thought no it's a dead rabbit floating along, when it was directly beneath us I could see it was a dead dog, that was really horrible. Apart from that the gorges were really impressive. We stopped & got on some tiny boats - the chinese all bundled on first as usually as it seriously looked like they were going to capsize, the boats were rocking so much. We eventually squeezed on a boat at the back. I had my photo taken with two chinese ladies! After a sail about we transferred back onto the other boat to be taken back to our boat, or so we thought! On the way back the chinese tour was going on & I looked out the window & noticed another ship that was really close. I was just about to say that boat is going to crash into us in a minute, but a minute was too long & it crashed into the side of us. We had to stop with the other boat (right in front of a blind corner so it could have happened again - duh!) for ages & then with no real dammage done we set off again. We were dropped in Wushang for a look around & had some nice street food & made our way back to our boat but were given tickets to a show from our tour guide. We hiked up the massive steps & tried to get on a bus but the chinese were climbing on top on old ladies to get in one so we just went back to the boat in the end. Charlie was freezing in just a t-shirt & I only had my sunglasses so wouldn't have been able to see anyway. The trouble about the chinese tour was that we never had any idea of what was going on so couldn't prepare for anything!
