We arrived today in Xi'an after a 14 hour overnight train from Beijing. The train was 6 bunk beds in each compartment, 3 on each side. We had the bottom bunks, the bed were comfy altho we both had two chinese guys above us snoring really loud. The ear plugs defo came in handy!!

Hope you like the photos, unfortunately, thats not all of them but we have been uploading them for 4 and a half hours & need to let someone else use the internet now!! We also have a cool video for you to see, hopefully upload tomorrow evening!

Hello again!

It so nice to read all of your messages. Uncle Steve, I can't believe there is another fire out there again. We haven't heard about it but then again all the news shows are in Chinese & I don't think they tend to report on other Countries. Let us know if everything is ok, we'll be checking on the BBC website.

I think the comments to our photos may not match up to the photos for some reason. We can't change it so we've made it into a game. Match the comment to the correct photo!

Anyway today is Sunday (I think!) & we are heading out to Chengdu on another overnight train, this journey is 18 hours long, yawn! There wasn't much to do really in Xi'an bar the Terracotta Warriors that we went to see on Friday. That was pretty amazing, so weird to think they have been burried there for thousands of years. They are still excavating so will be interesting to see what they have dug up in another 20 years. Apart from that we haven't done alot else. We tried to walk to the Goose Pagoda yesterday but even tho we were armed with macs & an umbrella the rain resembled something like Glastonbury & we ended up getting in a taxi back to the hostel to dry off. We found some delicious noodles & other chinese food at the hostel so have been off the pot noodles for a few days but we did go out for a starbucks the other night! Will try & get photos & video up at the next hostel, but the video requires reading the instruction booklet so it may take a while............!
