Well this week was crazy I did alot of planning for the rest of the trip so during the day I wasnt doing much during the day but this week was the week of the Indepenace of Chile which ment a couple of things that are close to my heart, Beer, Food and Partying.....
The food was awesome staying at Toto's place was such a good idea I got fed like a king and all traditional Chilean food Empanadas, Puddings, Breads the whole lot I got and of course had seconds. Sitting at the computer doing some work for my Uni and I was brought traditional cookies which I downed rather fast and then I was brought more and was then offered more I swear If I stayed any longer I would have come home fat again getting to try all of this food was a massive highlight of my trip.
Next the beer and partying, On the first night back from Lican Ray I got asked if I wanted to go and play beer pong which I thought awesome then part way into the night I got asked if I wanted to go to a Discotech or a Night Club as we call them back home, having not gone before I thought what the hell Ill give it a go. After getting there I obviously had no clue what I was doing, Toto's mates gave me a hand and all chimmy had to do was say i was from New Zealand and the two girls pretty much lept out of their chairs apperntly Im a pretty good wingman when in a foreign country. But even then on the dace floor I was totally usless and me not speaking spainish didnt help with not being able to talk to her but oh well I geuss Ill pick it up one day.....I had a great time and pretty much as soon as my head hit the pillow I was asleep.
The day before I left and what was the last day of the holidays for everyone I had met over the week we had a chilean bqq and a few drinks and of course played beer pong, part way into the night the girls attempted to teach me some spainish which I did learn some but I have most of it written down so Ill be able to use it later in the trip. It was hard saying goodbye to everyone I had met during this week even only knowing them for a few days I wish I could have stayed for longer and gotten to know them better but I know that I would have gotten bored after too much longer with it being one of the smaller towns, I offered everyone if they ever wanted to a place to stay in New Zealand if they ever decided to come and stay and I hope one day one of them will and I can repay the amazing time I had over this week.
