After a couple of days in Santiago it was time to head south making my way to Temuco (Te-moo-co) a 9hr bus ride away to see Toto who was one of the main reasons I decided to come to Chile in the first place, The bus ride was great I spent an extra 10 bucks to get a Semi-Cama seat (Cama=Bed) so the ride was comforable I didnt get any sleep at all though as my body was still adjusting to the time difference. Once I arrived Toto was waiting with a few of his mates and we went straight to one of there houses and had a few drinks...
At school here in Chile they do teach english but because they never have to use it so they dont practice it at all, so they all sort of understand me if i talk slow and try not to use slang but its hard with the way we talk in NZ it really is a sort of "lazy" english.
It was nice that a few of them spoke quite good english and a few of them play league of legends so that gave us something to talk about over a beer or to I felt soory for Toto for having to be my translator for most of the night when they couldnt think of the right word. IM slowly picking up words from there convostations and am listening to podcasts to learn so hopefully I can try to have a small conversation in spainish with a few of them before I leave..
