Got woken up by people in the dorm packing their stuff at 6:30 in the morning... You would think they could have done that last night, I was having to get up at 7:30 anyway... I couldn't really sleep after that, so I just listen to some music. Today I was on the Phi Phi Islands speed boat tour, we would be stopping at some of the best parts of the Phi Phi area. (It's made up from loads of islands!). Had to get a transfer to Ao Nang, and this is where we got on out speedboat! It's was massive, bad 90 people on it!! The sun was already out and I needed to work on my tan so picked a seat at the front of the boat, without any shade! It was so windy because of the speed.. It was nice, but you couldn't feel yourself burning! Bamboo island was our first stop, bet you can't guess why it's called that! (A lot of bamboo!). Here we were able to walk around, swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing! I don't have any bad words to say about the beach in Thailand!
The next part was the reason I booked this tour!! Maya Bay- also know as the beach here "The Beach" movie was filmed! It was so amazing... Ok, it had been changed a little bit in post production, but you could tell it was the same beach!! Had lots of photos here, but most of the time you would have another tourist in the back ground. We sailed past the Viking Cave, and through the Pi Leh Bay lagoon, at Phi Phi Leh. Next stop lunch, on the central part Phi Phi Don. Over all the places I visited today there was signs for Tsunmai excape routes, and information about getting to higher ground in an earthquake happens! I laid in the sun after lunch directly under a coconut tree, keeping an eye open to make sure non hit me in the face, although, I'm sure my head would be good competition!
Only 2 more destinations left to stop at on the tour, Hin Klarng which was an open sea snorkelling area! Cool, loads of fish! The last snorkelling spot was Monkey Island, sadly I didn't see any monkeys but another amazing white sand beach! No bars, restaurants or hotels, just a white beach, and a few tourist! It was now about 4, and time to speed back to the port, it was really quick, this speed boat had 5 engines. As we arrived back to Ao Nang, the rain started, managed to not get wet... And returned back to the hostel in Krabi Town. I needed to get the sand off, it more like powered here, so got clean changed into dry clothes and headed for dinner. I got back about 11 after having a few beers, I even downloaded the movie the beach... It's exactly like what I've been doing, and places I have been. The doors are nice as have air conditioning and fans, I was actually cold. Maybe that had something to do with the sunburn! Slapped on the after sun.!
