... The sunset pictures might be boring people, but I can't get sick of them.... Today I passed my advance diving course. Of course I will tell you more about what happened!
Happy Easter everyone.
Well it was another horrible early morning start, the alarm was set for 6:00, which gave me just enough time to shower pack my bag, and get down to the departure point! It didn't run that smoothly, I stupidly fell back to sleep after I had turned off my alarm, oops... So i didn't get out of bed until about 6:20, which resulted in me packing my bag and leaving, I was going to be diving all day anyway so there was no point in having a shower! I had a full day trip ahead of me, we were going to Sail rock, it a dive site close to the island of Koh Phangan. It took about 2 hours to get there, and just chilled in the sunshine at the front of the boat! The first dive was going down 30 meters, It was my best dive so far, we saw so many fish, including massive schools of barracuda, and even trigger fish, which apparently charge at you, if you go anywhere near their homes... I can't honestly say that I never saw one,.. But Emma our instructor kept telling us to swim away when she saw them!! On the boat we did a test, which would be repeated at 30 meters to see how our reactions would change. I don't think mine was much different. I'm guessing it's to do with the size of my head, it's able to deal with the pressure underwater. We were under water for about 45 minutes. I'm what that call a bit of an air hog!! (I think it's because I have a good set of lungs on me!!)
Dive 2 was still at Sail Rock, this time we were on a different mixture of air, it was a higher oxygen percentage! I didn't notice much difference, but it allows you to stay down longer. We swam through the famous chimney, it was so cool, head down, and kicked as we swam through about 10 meters, coming out of the bottom! Amazing.
Lunch was included and we left sail rock, and made our way to Shark Island (Yes Bex, I was really hoping that we would see a whale shark!) rolled back of the boat, and me and my buddy were in charge, our instructor was behind, but would only say something if we were doing something wrong. Descended to about 18 meters, and the wildlife around the coral was yet again amazing! We had a dive computer and had to use a compass to make sure we could get back to the boat! Checking our air!! Everything went well, and it was great being able to go where you want... Some of the girls that were in our dive group in the morning went on their own, and got chased by a trigger fish for about 5 minutes!! Ha ha.
Back on the boat, we had 30 minutes until back at the Big Blue resort. By now I was so tired and needed a shower!! (if you need to go, when diving in a wet suit, your told to go!!! Number 1 of course) lol. Had a kip for about an hour, then meet up with a couple of the guys for a beer and all you can eat pizza. I also got my transport booked to Koh Phangan. The 4 bed dorm that I had only had me sleeping in it! Result.
