Hello,
The pictures are getting a bit rndom as we arent getting much choice!! Well the diving was absolutely incredible, it was like nothing i have ever seen before!! I swam with a turtle and put my hands in a giant clam, so wierd it closed up when i put my hand in it! The instructors were amazing aswell and it was very safe and they put me at ease as i was a bit nervous. I also made friends with a few people onbards whichw as nice. I also used an underwater camera which i need to get developed so hopefully i will be able to show some piccies! The colours were amazing bright purples and blues and the fish were huge! I did wear a very sexy all in one blue lycra suit aswell as it is stinger season so i felt a bit like an action hero! G went to Kuranda which was slightly north of cairns and spent the day exploring the crystal cascades which apparently id have loved! He also went to Baron Falls and explored the town.
Yesterday we drove south towards Innisfail. We stayed at a horrific camp site where people actually lived and it was pretty much red neck city. Rats tail hairdos were all the rage. G didnt find it to bad but i had a shower and some lovely man decided to look over the top of my cubicle at me - not an easy feat as he would have to balance on the sink to do so - creeped me right out. On from there we went to the most beautiful park called Paronella Park. We paid to get in and then got free camping there.
Search it online and you will get a better idea of why we are raving about it. It was like stepping into a fairytale land. A spanish man built a castle and grounds etc around a waterfall and the place is based around his story. we got to do a tour where they told us all about it and walked us around the park. We then got to do a night tour where we learned more and saw the park at night all lit up, it was just stunning, out of this world. The whole park is powered from Jose Paronellas water turbine from the waterfall. anyway search it online.
We also saw Milla Milla waterfall and a few others which were lovely but we got soaked by the rain! Today we are heading south through mission beach to townsville!
Oh and roon i took a picture of Wooroonaran National Park! Reminded me of you!!!
