On our way to Sorrento we stopped at Pompeii. What an experience this is a town which was covered up in volcanic ash until the 19 century. This experience was like taking a step back through time every part of the town was still intact from the 12th century before the volcanic eruption. You could actually imagine how these people lived - the guide we had was so good, telling us the history and pointing out different things like the phallic symbols on the road which pointed to the brothels. We arrived at Sorrento early so Rae decided we should go and check out the next town for some pic ops - big mistake the roads were way to small for the bus, it was so scary. Finally we found a turning point and headed back - a cop saw us and decided to give us an escort out of this dilemma.

The next day we had a lazy day, we woke up late and headed into the town, it was so cute; it reminded me of nice, but more trendy and colourful. We got back to camp and went swimming off the cliff near the campsite. The water was so beautiful it was a deep blue and so clear
