We arrived at Andorra at 7ish the long drive enabled me to catch up on some sleep and recover from my hangover. We made a stop over at Lavorus. The group went rafting and I chose to wonder around the village and sleep by the rapids it was so nice to chill out by myself especially when 28 people are constantly in your face! The village was so sweet, all the buildings were made out of rocks and mud, you could see that it was all hand made - couble stoned streets and little lanes.
On our way to Andorra we were pulled over by the police, it took 30mins for them to check papers! So frustrating coz they could have used Cynthia to translate, but no!! So we finally reached Andorra Beautiful, it was like being in Switzerland, so mountainous and natural. For dinner we went to a Catalan Restaurant, it was owned by the guy whose hotel we were staying at. We had an endless supply of red wine, yummy food mostly meat: pig, rabbits, lamb, chicken, and potatoes. For a starter we had a piece of bread, garlic and tomatoes. What we had to do was: rub the Garlic on the bread, and then the tomatoes then pour some olive oil on the bread so tasty. After dinner we did the traditional ceremony of the pour on. You fill a glass thing that looks like a bong with red wine; you start close to your mouth and raise the glass until you can no longer drink any more wine. It was so hard to not choke. After that we went to a bar called Avalanche we were all so pissed from dinner - what a hazy nite. The next day we had to wake up early for breakfast bacon and eggsbut coz we were all really hung over, it just made us sick. After breakfast we went for a swim and then set out for some no tax bargain shopping.
