I arrived early to London so I managed to work out how to find my way around comfortably. I checked into top deck and waited for Shan at the pub. After an emotion hello, some good old english pub grub and a pint, Shan and I checked into our crappy hostel at Sheppards Bush St. Christophers Inn.
In the afternoon we did our own little walking tour of London, we checked out Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben house of Parliament, Piccadilly Circus, and Soho - Londons Red Light District. London was really nice, but too many tourist!! For dinner Shan and I grabbed a picnic and sat in the park opposite the hostel, we ate peacefully until a heap of police cars screamed into the park destroying our tranquil evening so we decided to end our night early. We bathed and got ready for bed when suddenly a guy came into our room! Apparently the hostel was not single-sex dorms so we had a very uncomfortable sleep - being new to the whole hostel culture this was freaky - radom people walking in at all hours of the nite. We had to wake up at 5am to make our way to join the tour group which was not appreciated by our fellow dormsmen! Shan and I conquered the London metro. From the Top Deck office we jumped on a coach and drove down to the white cliffs of Dover to catch a ferry to Calais France.
