FYI North American Tour
The last school fair for the Lake Union Tour was here in Detroit at Peterson-Warren Academy. We had a great time meeting the students at the school and it was good to have the chance to offer them an international study alternative.
After the fair, because we were right in Detroit, Motor City—the historic heart of the American automotive industry—we had to visit the Ford Motor Company's Rouge Factory where Henry Ford pioneered the use of the assembly line in manufacturing automobiles. It was pretty sweet. Amongst other things we were able to do a walk-through of the Dearborn Truck Plant where we saw them building the current F-Trucks (eg. F150). It was a cool experience. Pity they didn't allow us to take any pictures in the plant.
