Today we travelled to probably the remotest pub in the world - the 'Poo Pub'. It's Kiwi Experience tradition that this location is home to all sorts of fancy dress themed parties where everyone has a wicked time and enjoys the evening. Our theme was 'celebrities'. We decided in a $1 fancy dress shop there and then that, as you may guess from the photo, I was Simon Cowell for the evening and Catherine was the Joker! She suited the roll scarily well haha! Unaware that we took our time buying supplies and withdrawing cash, I happened to be the last on the bus and, as I was 10 mins late, I was sentenced to a forfeit as decided by the bus. Very, very reluctantly I had to sing along to 'Barbie Girl' in front of 50 people.. Yeah, pretty embarrassing. Upon arrival we checked out Lake Mahinapua which was a sweet mirror lake - it gave great reflections of the surrounding mountain ranges. We then sat down to a steak meal which was sublime! Added to the fact that we've been living on noodles and it was a big old chunk of meat, I was definitely in food eutopia. The rest of the evening was spent getting ready in the room with Nick and Liam and having a good night with crazily dressed people! Admittedly, the early morning start wasn't the freshest we felt but the evening was well worth it! Next stop.. Franz Josef - couldn't wait!
