Impressive soya collection.

These are the hill street tai hwa. Pork noodles. These is a lot going on with this dish. The sauce is a combination of the black vinegar and chilli sauce and oyster sauce taste which has appeared in a few Singapore dishes. Really like it. Makes you smack your lips as the vinegar cuts though the oyster/soy and the chilli gives it a little kick at the end. Pork dumplings in a soft pasta, strips of pork (no idea what part of pig), crispy salted fried fish skin, ...

Hill street Tai hwa pork noodles. Famous for many years. Big queue anytime of day.

Another hawker delight. Pearl barley hot soya drink. Bubble drink :) I love soya. Love warm soya milk. Loved the bubbles (gummy type beans) of pearl barley. So for me a winner.

Went hawker tasting today all over singapore. Just sharing dishes. Black carrot cake Singapore favourite at the hawker markets. Not what I was expecting but really tasty It's radish soaked in corn flour, black vinegar and soy and egg. The white carrot cake just has no soy. It has the texture of a soft potato which sounds weird but isn't. The soy flavour is really strong so it's quite salty. Perfect after big night out.
