Phad Thai. V close to thailand and Cambodia here so a mix of food Really tasty.

For dinner we were given a Laos only menu. We pointed at one dish and she said vegetable. We said yes ... Then another and she said fish. We said yes great. Then we pointed at another group/ table who were still eating with rice on it. She said yes... We were brought this. ..... Seafood and vegetable and rice together :)

Went to a part of pakse that everyone said was locals only. Goodness knows why it was amazing. Maybe they don't want it to become crazy but this is such a tiny place and hardly any tourists so can't see why Anyway we wandered over. Only a short 15/20 min walk and we hit the river with loads of bars and restaurants along it. Place was so lively and fun. Locals couldn't believe we were there. Everyone was so nice to us. We were bought gifts by one table too. R...

I like the inside of this mug. I think all mugs should have happy little notes. Like ice pop sticks and jokes :) I loved them This cafe has a brilliant coffee farm. They brought this for free at the end of our meal. Haven't had much coffee as our little tummys can't cope with it here :) but this smells and tastes so rich and inviting ....

Sort if wish I could order salad or anything fresh but its just not possible without going really upmarket. So this is as close I can get to vegetables :) stir fried. Sauce was from a jar I reckon. Laos food on trek was by far the best we had eaten. Everywhere else it's not great unfortunately.
