Went to a part of pakse that everyone said was locals only.

Goodness knows why it was amazing. Maybe they don't want it to become crazy but this is such a tiny place and hardly any tourists so can't see why

Anyway we wandered over. Only a short 15/20 min walk and we hit the river with loads of bars and restaurants along it.

Place was so lively and fun. Locals couldn't believe we were there. Everyone was so nice to us. We were bought gifts by one table too. Really friendly smiley groups. As with all Laos places it was really kicking until about 21.45 then all closed down by 22.30 :)
