Garlic chicken in pakse. Tastes as you would expect. :) Boiled rice.

Flew from Luang Namtha to vientienne today. Just waiting to get the night bus to pakse. City has the same French influence as luang prabang. Still v poor. The convention centre is insanely lavish and there is a massive arc du triumph here too :) Shared this waiting for bus. As always have to keep it safe before a long bus journey :) Tasty baguette. Italian salami and salad. Rather tasty indeed.

Jungle breakfast. Fried rice with garlic. We had a cool lunch of fried whole tilapia with garlic. Sticky rice and chilli pepper. Forgot to take a photo as we were properly knackered after the 3 day trek. :) happy tired :)

Longan fruit. Really tasty and refreshing ... like lychee in texture on the inside but a bit coconuty :)

Ed said this was his favourite meal ever hehe :) Bamboo feast in the jungle. We collected the bamboo. I prepared it with Seng then fried it with garlic and steamed it for 20 mins. Fresh wild flowers for the table :) Irish music on Sticky rice. Placed in leaves to stay fresh and warm. Not sure if I mentioned it before but the sticky rice on this trip is outstanding. Must be that it's so fresh and just cooked perfectly. Lots of Lao Lao whiskey. :) well ...
