EDC music festival was super cool. Another great day in Mexico City entailed a trip to the Teotihuacan pyramids north of the city. The pyramids are remnants of a pre-Hispanic culture and it's jewels are the giant temples of the sun and the moon. We climbed all the way to the top of the larger temple of the sun, a pretty tiring walk up considering the blistering sun and giant array of steps but it's a gorgeous view from the top. A surprisingly comfortable, but packed, 12 hour bus ride later I arrive in Mexico City and jump in a taxi to the hostel Mundo Joven Cathedral, a journey which costs the same price as the London tube. The hostel is right in the historical centre and my room looks out onto the cathedral. It's complete backpacker central here with a roof bar terrace area for socialising.
