Early start allowed us to check out Oenpelli arts and craft store (which was way overpriced), and still reach Cahill Crossing before the water level was too high (tidal). Back to Jabiru to do some washing and rest up!

Our last day in Kakadu NP and we visited Gunlom Falls (formerly UDP) campground. Visited Maguk Gorge, before continuing onto Gunlom which is 40km of dirt once we turned off Kakadu Highway.

The Falls were only trickling over the top but the pool was large and refreshing. A late afternoon walk to the top of the Falls was a heart pumping exercise - 500m climb to reach the top of the falls which are more than 80m high - an ascent rate of 1 in 6! Needed a bex and a lie-down after that!

Tomorrow we head south out of Kakadu and down the Stuart h/w.
