First night in Whistleduck Creek campground. No water in creek but quiet and peaceful campsite.
Second night at Old Policeman's Water Hole campground. The Frew River is dry but the waterhole has water. Great spot to camp.
Have decided to spend a few days around Hermannsberg and Finke Gorge (near Alice Springs), before heading east on Plenty Highway.

figjam68 Yeah mate. I am. So much easier than lugging the other gear around. The optical zoom helps in trying to identify birds from a distance - then use the digital zoom to get enough detail for an identification. So it's all good.
