Day 2 in St Helens, today we woke up to a bright sunny day which we were both really happy about as we were hitting the bay of fires today.
We headed out at about 930am and headed North to Binalong Bay to see the Bay of Fires, blue sky, blue water and granite rocks with a tinge of orange it looked amazing.
We then headed further North to The Gardens, picturesque beaches, rocks and blue waters made it feel like we were riding on a postcard, I never thought such beautiful waters existed outside North Queensland. We pulled up for a few photos and found a beach the we had all to ourselves.
Then my fob battery went flat off goes the alarm before it came good and a squit back to town to grab a new battery for the fob, and back like new.
We then headed to Pyengana after heading in the wrong direction for 26kms we stopped for a quick check of the map and back tracked in the right direction.
We stopped off at the Pub in a Paddock, for a light lunch (wedges, sour cream and sweet chilli sauce) one of the oldest pubs in Tasmania, having its Liquor License since 1880. Dad thinks they last changed the oil in the cooker about then too.
Half the feed went to the pubs dog, a friendly chocolate labrador before we went over to Priscilla the Pig and shared a beer. Before heading back to St Helens.
The bikes are filthy after riding through roadworks but should clean up ok. We caught up on the washing and headed out for tea at the St Helens waterfront restaurant at the caravan park. Ripper feed, I had pizza and dad had the pork ribs.
Tomorrow we depart St Helens heading up to Low Head.
Ride On 👊
