Today was day 3 in Bicheno.
We woke to a beautiful blue sky and the sun shining brightly, had breakfast and headed out on the bikes for a bit of sightseening we headed to a local swimming hole in the Apsley National Park, but when we hit a rough dirt road that my skinny front tyre didn't like at all causing me to nearly put the bike down we decided to turn around and head back out onto the black stuff.
Giving up on that idea due to 5kms of bush tracks not suited for the Harley-Davidsons we headed to the Blowhole for a look. The tide was low and the sea was calm but it was such an awesome spot where the granite rocks meet the ocean.
A few photos and back to the accommodation to catch up on the washing.
We headed into town to The Farm Shed, a local wine, gin and whiskey store where I did a whiskey tasting and dad did a gin tasting, all samples were from local distilleries across Tasmania. I loved the Lark and Hounds Tooth, but also enjoyed Fanny Bay's sherry barrel.
Dad loved the gins, especially the Sheep Whey Gin from Hartshorn distillery.
Then back to the accommodation to prepare for the ride out tomorrow where we are headed North to St. Helens for two nights.
Ride on 👊
