FARFRUMWURKEN
It's been five days since I've been able to upload any blog updates. So yes - you guessed it, here I sit in another McDonald's updating this crazy blog thing. It's been a little tough for me being disconnected from the inter-web, but all is ok now. I've added some of the pictures that I took while we visited Clinton as I didn't have the chance to post these on my last update. Since my last posting the girls have concentrated on their usual "antiquing". On Thursday, I chauffered them around the Knoxville area from shop to shop while I dozed in the car. We prepped Thursday night for the big trip into Atlanta to go to their favourite place ever - Scott's Antique Extravaganza. The drive to Atlanta from Knoxville is about 3 hours - so if you can believe - we drove over 8 hours and just shy of 500 miles so that the girls could spend 4 hours at Scott's. Now while I can honestly say that it's not my favourite thing in the world, Scotts was a pretty cool place with over 3200 vendors in two buildings (we only got through one). The quality of merchandise here is not only of exceptional quality, but reasonably priced to boot. We arrived on Friday night and checked into the Rennaissance Concorde Airport Hotel and had a nice dinner. We kept it short because the girls needed to be in tip-top shape to fight through all the booths at Scotts. Everything at the hotel was great except we were virtually right next to the two main runways, so landing and take-off's at America's busiest airport went on for most of the night. I've come up with a potential business idea for British Columbia and Ontario customers - "driftwood trees" - but we'll see how the prototype goes when I get back home, but more on that later. While we were in Atlanta, Deborah wanted to check out some possible accommodations in the Atlanta area should we ever decide to relocate south, so Jean directed us to an area in the north of Atlanta - Buckhead which are homes modestly priced for the snowbirds for Canada. I think they call them fixer-upers. Enjoy and dream. We've had some great dinners out with Jean. After we got home on Saturday night from Atlanta, we went out to a Brazilian Steak House called Brazeiros. When you enter they give you two disks - a round green one for YES I want more food and a red one to say STOP - I'm taking a breather. They cook all their meats on skewers and they range from Lamb, Chicken, Steak, Filet, Ribs - in all about 12 different types of meat that they carve off right at your table. It was quite an experience and all the meats tasted great. Since we arrived at Jean's back on the 4th, one thing that was evident was that she needed some help sorting out stuff in her garage after the contractors left it in a mess having installed two new garage doors. So after 3 hours sorting, sweepin, and stacking we got this double car garage standing tall and will allow Jean to get her Chrysler 300 inside for the nights. Tomorrow is an early day for us. Because we're flying into Seattle we needed to be back there before dark so we have a 6:10 a.m. departure from Tyson McGee airport here in Knoxville. Once we leave Dallas, we're scheduled to be back in Seattle for around 2:30 p.m. - so we'll rent a car - get some groceries and a few electronics that I need since we've got about $1700.00 in duty allowance. I really can't believe that 45 days can go by so quickly, but we've seen a lot of this country, see a lot of people that we love and all in all we'll be glad to get home and get ready for the next adventure on February 7th. I'll finalize things on my next blog when we get home but i wanted to say to the people that have been actively following my posts - THANK YOU for joining us on our Tennessee Adventure.

Roswita Thanks for letting us take part in your southern exposure. Good time of the year to be away. We'll stick it out here in order to really appreciate the spring, if it ever comes!!
Jim Home is where the heart is and it appears that you have a bit of your heart in some new places and that can be awesome, very awesome. Rest during the next 4 weeks and continue your travel blogging on your next adventure, it's quite interesting and saves me a ton $$$$
