Bus dropped us near the Khao San road so we walked round and made for McD's which is now 24hr which Tom was pretty happy, arriving at 5am into Bangkok isn't the best time of day especially on the Khao San Road which was full of foreign bloke learing over Thai girls. After over an hour of carrying our bags we found a really nice place to stay and promptly feel asleep, 2 days of travelling and sleeping on buses is tiring. The walk into the centre was much easier without our bags and didn't take long at all. The Khao San Road was transfromed into more of what we remember with lots of stalls selling anything and everything including clothes, shoes, foods etc as well as British Driving Licences! Went for lunch/supper and met Kieron and Lucy, tried out a few different bars and made the evening at a makeshift road side cocktail bar complete with amazing fireworks to finish off the Kings birthday celebrations.

We've struck gold. I have lost the memory card reader somewhere and bought a new one across the road, the guy said he'd check it worked and loaded our pics onto his computer found 22 virus'swhich he deletedso we could upload all of the photos onto the blog and in the easiest way that we hadn't been able to do since India, so pleased. McDis for lunch, might as well while we can. Had a wonder round the shops and stalls, Tom got a couple of tops and we got something for Fred too. Tom got to drive a Tuk Tuk around Bangkok when we went to the travel agents, we've booked a week in Koh Lanta on the West coast. I videoed Tom driving, the Tuk Tuk driver was so impressed Tom could do it he said everyone tries but no one can ever do it. Tom had to let him take over before we drove past the police station, he didn't think they'd find it so funny.

Lazy morning reading. More shopping, I got a couple of tops and flip flops and we found Dan a birthday top. Bus pm, VIP and not bad, 1 crazy lady who paniced when the bus stopped to fix the tyre and she couldn't get off the bus-we don't have much luck.
