Thursday, 8th July As we neared the coast the skies of cloud and heavy rain from last night cleared and we knew it was going to be a good day. We arrived just after 11am, the town has obviously changed in 9 years but not so much that its not recognisable. Wednesday, 7th July Bus->Guatemala City, little wait Bus->Tapachula, 4 hour wait, Coronas and tortillas for supper, getting into the Mexican spirit Bus->Perto Escondido

Tuesday, 6th July 5am start and glad of it. Bus to Honduras then on to San Salvador in El Salvador. The bus stopped in a not too bad area then went onto a rough part. We were told the bus could pick us up from the nicer area so got a cab there with Claire from Scotland and got a lovely room. Beers and Pizza Hut for supper feeling like it's all ok and managed to change our ticket so we go all the way to Mexico tomorrow

Monday, 5th July Walked into the city to try and get some dollars out but were told that you can't get them from the bank with a visa card! Got to the bus station ourselves to avoid the rip off taxi and got the bus to Managua in Nicaragua, the Hostel we stayed in will not be forgotten but won't be written about incase we're lucky enough to forget!

Saturday, 3rd July Longest border crossing EVER, 3 hours! 2 hours spent standing waiting for it to open, glad they woke us up at 6am and rushed us off the bus! San Jose is an absolute s*** hole there is no other way to describe it. The taxi from the bus terminal dropped us in the 'Bronx' of the city.
