Thank God for the Scandinavian bakery in Vientiane, after that journey a really good cup of tea and cinnamon bagel was much needed and appriciated. Only just over an hour to get to the border in a mini bus then onto a nice actual VIP bus to Nong Khai the Thai border crossing. Apart from a Korean guy loosing the plot over his seat number it was a pretty good journey, we had a meal thrown in too which was at a restaurant by the sea, made use of the random 20B note we had, they don't want anything to do with Kipp here.
