Monday, 7th June

Love the beds and duvets at the hostal, didn't want to get up. Found out about buses to the Atacama desert and went back to the pub from last night for a drink, then on to the markety area for something to eat. I'd just jokingly said that we'd be sitting there for half an hour and not seen Claudio yet when he walked past, on his way to a meeting but stopped for a quick drink and chat. Claudio's been working on some work logos for Tom so we went round to have a look then out to the steak restaurant , not disappointed. A few Pisco Sours later and back to theirs for a few more drinks and to see Claudios DJ skills in action, so sad to say goodbye.

Tuesday, 8th June

Had as much of a lie in as we could before checking out and heading to the Belles Artes Museum. Half of it is still closed off after the earthquake so it didn't take too long to get round. They had a History of Chile in photographs which was good , even up to the earthquake a few months ago. They also had some modern sculptures and paintings so enough of different things to keep me happy and Tom not too bored! 3:30pm bus to San Pedro broke down 4 hours outside Santiago.
