Thursday, 24th June Bus from La Paz to Copacabana. Met Soloman at the bus station who runs Hostal gabriel where we are now staying, our room gets the afternoon sunshine so is very cozy. Nice to get of the bus and sorted quickly. The town is a nice size to walk around, we went straight down to the water front and saw the fisherman out in boats and a beautiful sunset over the lake which looks like the sea it goes right out to the horizon line. Monday, 21st June Slept all but an hour of the 12 hour journey, straight to a decent hostel and out to explore, bit tricky as we both seem to have achy legs. Found the famous Prison (Carcel de San Pedro) in Plaza Sucre and some dodgey bloke who was 'in there for 8 years', said he could get us in for £80 and a copy of our passports-we smiled and think we'll ask around. Took it easy for the rest of the day wathing Chile win the football and updating the blog. ...

Wednesday, 16th June An interesting bus ride to Potosi, the highest city in the world. We were on a local bus which wasn't the most comfortable but we had a cute little girl across from us who kept us entertained. Once in Potosi we found a taxi that took us to Sucre with 2 others for the same price as the bus and only took 2 hours instead of 4. Sucre is lovely, went out for a wonder and supper in a sweet French restaurant. Thursday, 17th June Horay sunshine...

Sunday, 13th June A very early cold start to the day. 10 of us were taken by minibus across the border and an hour on to the Bolivian entry border, our most remote crossing so far. We were divided into 2 groups Tom and I jumped at the chance to be with Frenchies, Claire, Louis and Samuel. Our first stop was the National Park and the Laguna Blanca and Verde both of which were stunning, Blanca mostly salt and Verde more green from copper so no wildlife on this one...
